The Four Wheel Drive Association of British Columbia is a registered non-profit society that advocates for Public Access to Public Land.
To this goal, we’re involved in active stewardship of our back country:
- Maintaining NINE Rec Sites in BC so that avid off-roaders can use them free of charge:
- Sea to Sky
- Hut Lakes
- West Harrison:
- Hale Creek
- Francis Lake
- Sunrise Lake
- Lookout Lake
- Wilson Lake
- East Stave:
- Whipsaw:
- Lodestone Lake (with After The Blacktop Ends)
- Wells Lake (with BC Toyota 4WD)
- Sea to Sky
- Actively working to have the Stave Lake mud flats designated as an official “mud bogging area”
- Building and upkeep of the Hale Creek shelter
- Rebuilding/repair and maintenance of the Nahatlatch, Cornwall, and Mount Lavina fire towers
- Holding two clean-ups each year at Stave Lake, taking out over 200 tons of garbage the last 5 years
- Hosting 20+ maintenance runs per year
- Development of the Stave Lake Motor Park & Thunder Mountain in Kelowna
- Hosting runs to take out Burn Survivors and Big Brothers & Sisters for the day
